FROM BUSINESS NEED TO WORKING PROCESS

Sales team management: connect route planning with visit outcomes

When representatives cover different territories, managers need shared context: who serves each location, what is planned today and what happened during the visit. Torg connects team structure, routes and the documents produced by field sales.

Challenges this addresses

Unclear customer ownership

Departments, teams and location assignments define responsibility. Multiple representatives can serve one location for different product groups.

Plans disconnected from daily work

Weekday route templates become routes for a selected date. Set the location sequence and planned visit times before the team starts.

Results scattered across messages

Review orders, payment captures, photos, tasks and store checks within the relevant route and visit rather than reconstructing the day from separate channels.

How the process works

  1. 01

    Organize the team

Define departments and teams, appoint managers, then assign representatives, customer locations and product groups.

  2. 02

    Plan the day

Build weekly templates, check locations on the map and create the route for the selected date.

  3. 03

    Send work to the representative

The mobile application receives the route and active tasks. Representatives conduct visits and create the required documents.

  4. 04

    Review the outcome

Open a route from the operational overview, then a visit to inspect orders, payments, debt, photos and task completion.

Connecting your systems

Torg is a sales operations module, not an inventory or accounting system. Catalog data, sales history and debt come from external accounting. JSON/API formats, identifiers and exchange rules are agreed during implementation.

Preparing for implementation

  • Department and team structure, plus a list of representatives.
  • Customers, locations, coordinates and current assignments.
  • Sources for catalog data, sales history and representative-specific debt.

Frequently asked questions

Does Torg replace accounting software?

No. Torg organizes sales team work and collects operational documents. Inventory and accounting remain in the external system.

Can several representatives serve one location?

Yes. Representatives can cover different product groups at the same location. Temporary substitutions are supported separately; debt remains assigned to the individual representative.

What is the difference between a route and a visit?

A route is a representative’s plan for a date, including an ordered list of locations. A visit records work at one location: documents, comments, photos and tasks.
